Deadlines for First-Semester Students: German and EU Applicants, non-EU Applicants and Higher Semester Students
Beginning of May – July 15, 2023: Application period for first-semester students (German and applicants with equal legal status, e.g. EU citizens) and for applicants without university entrance qualification (e.g. placement test, trial students)
July 23 2023: Start of coordination phase via Hochschulstart, first letters of acceptance for first-semester students
August 28 2023: End of coordination phase: last letters of acceptance or rejection
September 1 – September 15 2023: Period of free enrollment in programs with unrestricted admission (not for advanced applicants)
From mid-September: Pre-courses for first-year students
October 9 – 13, 2023: Orientation week
October 16, 2023: Start of courses
October 27, 2023: Uni Start - First Semester Welcome and Party
Deadlines for Submission of Program-Specific Requirements
Music Program Entrance Audition:
Application deadline for the music program entrance audition: tba

Current information on the music program auditions (in German only)
Pre-Study Internship:
For „Inklusive Pädagogik“ proof of the pre-study internship does not have to be provided until the course of study (October 17, 2022).
For „Maschinenbau und Verfahrenstechnik“ and „Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen Produktionstechnik“ it is strongly recommended that the pre-internship be completed before entering the program, if possible.
For „Public Health/Gesundheitswissenschaften“ proof of the pre-study internship does not have to be provided until the start of winter semester (October 1, 2022).
Language Certificates:
Cut-off deadline for language certificates: September 15 (winter semester) / March 15 (summer semester)
Deadlines for Master’s Degree Programs
The application deadlines for master’s degree programs remain unchanged in accordance with the university admission regulations. The deadlines can be found on the Master Portal.
